Expandable hose consists of two layers; the outer layer and the inner layer made from different material. The outer layer is made of polyester fabric which is durable and flexible while the inner layer is made from an expandable rubber that expands when pressure is exerted.

For the hose to expand a pressure of 200 PSI has to be exerted, pressure less than 40 PSI won’t expand the hose to their full size, generally pressure is important for these hoses. The hoses come in different size variations; 100 feet, 75 feet or 25 feet. These hoses have different adjustable modes on its nozzle which includes: mist, jet, shower, flat, center, cone or full  one can adjust to any of the setting.

How expandable hose is used

Connect the inlet of expandable hose with the main supply, ensure that connection point is tightly connected so as to prevent any leaks. As water enters the hose, it expands three times its original size provided  there is enough pressure.

Water flows through the outlet in a controlled pressure. One can adjust to any setting from the nozzle. After use, close the running water from the source then allow water to drain from the expandable hose till it contracts back to its original size. Store your hose in a dry place after use.
