Uses of copper check valve
They are widely used in different application settings
- Plumbing systems: Prevents backflow in supply lines, ensuring a clean water supply and preventing contamination. Can be used with fittings such as: Reducing socket, HDPE Elbow coupling, HDPE TEE COUPLING.
- Heating systems: Installed in boilers to maintain proper flow direction
- Irrigation systems: Prevents backflow in irrigation devices such as Pop up sprinkler, RAIN HOSE PIPE this protects devices like pumps
- Health care facilities: Ensures one-way flow in medical gas pipelines and maintains safety
How copper check valve works
When the fluid flows in, it pushes the valve. The force generated by the fluid pressure overcomes the cracking pressure and opens the valve, allowing smooth passage of the fluid.
If there is reverse flow, the backward pressure pushes the valve mechanism back into place, sealing the valve. This prevents fluid from returning upstream, maintaining system integrity.
Choosing the right copper check valve
Before purchasing any check valve, consider the following:
- Type
- Size
- Operating pressure
- Connection type
- Flow capacity
Copper check valve installation
- Start by choosing the right size and type based on application
- Prepare the pipe ends by cutting to the required size and cleaning the valve interior.
- Identify the flow direction on the valve
- Slide the valve onto the pipe, ensure proper alignment
- After attaching both the pipe and valve, turn on the water supply and inspect the valve for any leaks.
- Inspect the valve for any leaks
